Dr. Maria Järve (born in 1979) is a renowned plastic surgeon. She started his surgical career as a resident in general surgery. Her later work with breast cancer patients aroused her interest in reconstructive surgery, which led her to become a plastic surgeon at Helsinki University Hospital. Since 2018, Dr. Järve has been working as a plastic surgeon at Turku University Hospital. She gained a lot of experience in aesthetic surgery by working in Siluetti, the well known Helsinki private clinic, in 2018-2020. On a daily basis, she does reconstructive surgery on patients with tissue defects caused by tumors or trauma, body contouring surgery after massive weight loss, and aesthetic surgery. Breast reconstructive surgery is especially close to her heart, including both microsurgical operations and restorations with fat grafting and implants. Patients appreciate Dr. Järve’s professionality and honest explanation of the results of the operation.
