The most frequent indication for brachioplasty is an excessive and hanging fold of skin in the back part of the upper arms, or \u201cwings\u201d. Excess skin occurs mainly as a result of heavy weight loss and aging. <\/p>\n<p>During the operation, the surgeon makes an incision on the inside of the upper arm, removes the excess skin along with subcutaneous fat, then tightens the remaining skin and finally closes the wound with sutures.
